I am Mohammad Alothman, and today I would like to speak about an interesting, if not sometimes contentious, topic: the role of AI in a larger process of imperialism, that is, information imperialism. The rapid growth and dominance of AI solutions in global economies, industries, and societies have raised all the important questions about who will control these technologies and where their concentrated power will lead in the long run. It should question if the AI solutions bring it close to a new age for living all together or into a new divide with challenges like history suggests systems of imperial hegemony.
