MMF's vocational training initiatives are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by rural communities, especially women. By establishing skill development centers in regions like Masar Village in Gujarat and Ratnagiri in Maharashtra, the foundation provides training in areas such as:
- Computer Operation
- Sewing and Tailoring
- Broom-making from Coconut Palm Fronds
Since 2018, over 120 women have graduated from MMF's tailoring courses, enabling them to secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute to their communities' economic growth.
Livelihood Programs: Cultivating Economic Independence
Beyond vocational training, MMF's livelihood programs encompass a diverse range of activities designed to promote self-sufficiency:
Agricultural Initiatives: Training in bee-keeping, sheep rearing, dairy farming, betel nut cultivation, soya milk production, vermiculture, organic farming, and spice cultivation.
Handicrafts and Artisanal Skills: Programs in sewing, broom-making, and candle-making, including specialized training for children with Cerebral Palsy and their parents.
Technical Skills: Instruction in radiology, dialysis techniques, and computer operation.
Soft Skills Development: Emphasis on interpersonal communication, public speaking, and human rights awareness.
These programs have empowered over 5,000 women, 500 youth, and 12 differently-abled individuals, providing them with the tools to achieve financial independence and improved quality of life.
